The top man at Wisconsin’s unemployment office wants to see the federal unemployment sweetener extended, even as his office struggles to meet the needs of people who are out of work.
Department of Workforce Development Secretary Caleb Frostman yesterday said he wants to see the 600 dollar-a-week coronavirus enhancer extended. He said that money makes a big difference for people who are out of work in the state. Frostman doesn’t have an answer for when all of those people will get help from his office. There is a weeks-long backlog at DWD. Frostman continues to blame computer problems for that.
