WI MINORITY GAP GROWING IN CLASSROOM

The gap between the number of minority students and minority teachers in Wisconsin is growing.

The Wisconsin Policy Forum yesterday released a report that shows while the number of minority students in the state has grown by seven percent over the past decade, the number of minority teachers in the state has only grown by one percent.

The Policy Forum’s Anne Chapman says the gap between minority students and their teachers is a problem across the state, and in every community.
