WI CASES CONTINUE TO CREEP UP

Public health officials in Door County are reporting the first death related to COVID-19. 

The department says the patient was a man in his 70s with underlying medical issues.  There have been at least 144 deaths statewide.  There are over 17-hundred cases of coronavirus confirmed in Milwaukee County, followed by 334 cases in Dane County, 209 in Waukesha and 173 in Kenosha. 

Locally, the Chippewa Valley is seeing more than 50 cases and Buffalo County has confirmed additional cases as well, bringing the total to 4 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

One of the individuals has recovered, one has passed away, and two are in isolation. The fourth case is an individual in their 70’s and is hospitalized. Public Health is following up with individuals known to have had close contact with the person and providing guidance for symptos as well as monitoring and quarantine.
