The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is now waiving any fees to access all state parks, trails, and forests to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
Governor Evers’ ‘Safer at Home’ order deems outdoor activities an essential service. The D-N-R says waiving the fees prevents people from gathering and touching fee kiosks. Waiving the fees is also making it easier for people to enjoy the outdoors during this stressful time.
The D-N-R is still encouraging social distancing outdoors and recommending residents stay within their own communities.
