WI UPDATE: CASES UP, WHAT DOES “NON-ESSENTIAL” BUSINESS MEAN?

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed 416 coronavirus cases in the state. That is 35 additional cases just from yesterday. There have been five deaths in Wisconsin related to COVID-19.

Governor Tony Evers is issuing a “safer at home” order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.  The governor will sign the order tomorrow and says it will require all non-essential businesses to close this week and encourages residents to stay at home.

But what does that mean? That is the question that everyone wants to know and we should have those details tomorrow. As soon as we know, we will share the details with you.

Evers went on to say that time is of the essence and it’s important to be proactive.  Healthcare professionals, grocers and family caregivers are among those who will be allowed to continue travel to and from work.  Officials say fewer personal contacts will stem the spread.
