GOV. EVERS CALLS ON FEMA FOR ASSISTANCE

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is calling on FEMA to provide coronavirus medical supply assistance.

Yesterday, the Governor asked the federal government for thousands of surgical and non surgical masks, face shields, coveralls and gloves.  In a statement the Governor says he is asking FEMA to help the state to purchase the required items to help protect first responders.  The supplies will be used by healthcare providers, EMS, firefighters and police officers around the state.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Madison is up.  Department of Health officials reported the new numbers yesterday.  There are now 49-confirmed cases in Dane County as of Saturday afternoon.
