Wisconsin’s high school graduation rate continues to trend upward.
The education department reported today that over the past five years the graduation rate has increased one-point-six-percent. It has improved each of those years and in 2019, the graduation rate statewide was 90 percent.
The numbers are for the 2018-2019 school year. While 90 percent of students overall are getting a diploma in four years, those numbers drop to 71 percent when looking at African American students in the state, and 79 percent for Native American students.
