WI “VOTES” TO PUBLICLY SHAME OLD COMPUTER USERS

Wisconsin will publicly scold six communities if they don’t upgrade the outdated computers they use in their elections systems.

Last year, the state made available more than one-million dollars for local clerks to update their computers but not everyone took advantage of the funding.  Concerned that the outdated systems will leave election systems in six communities vulnerable to cyberattacks, state elections officials have voted to publicly call out those cities if they don’t quickly update their systems.
