Monroe County is now a Second Amendment sanctuary.
The county board approved a resolution earlier this week opposing any unconstitutional changes to the right to bear arms. Monroe is now the fourth county in the state to declare itself a Second Amendment sanctuary.
Board members say the local community and county sheriff’s office played big roles in the resolution.
