An Iowa man is charged with homicide in connection with a deadly crash in Polk County.
Probable cause statements say Michael Barkema turned in front of a car on Highway M near the Saint Croix County line Sunday night. The crash killed the driver of the car. Barkema was charged Monday with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
Authorities say his blood-alcohol level was over three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
