The University of Wisconsin System wants to raise the price for a college education in the state.
Out-going UW System President Ray Cross told lawmakers this week that he wants an ‘inflationary’ tuition increase included in the next state budget. Lawmakers have kept tuition across the UW System flat since 2013. Cross says that’s translated to millions-of-dollars less to spend. He says that’s hurt the university’s ability to compete.
