Eau Claire County will likely be one of the counties to slap a new registration fee on horse drawn buggies if state lawmakers agree.
The county board last night voted nearly unanimously to send a letter to the State Assembly urging lawmakers to approve a county-based horse and buggy registration law. The idea is to help local law enforcement track down horse and buggy owners if there is an accident or reckless driving.
