TRACKING CAUSE FOR TRAIN DERAILMENT

Investigators are blaming a broken rail for Sunday’s train derailment in Dunn County.

The Union Pacific Railroad yesterday said they are working on a formal report for the Federal Railroad Administration. That derailment near Knapp sent about 35 cars off the rails, 18 of them smashed together in a pile-up. No one was hurt, and the railroad says nothing hazardous spilled.
