The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is making sure people are aware of the risks of having radon in their homes.
January is Radon Action Month for the Environmental Protection Agency. The health department says about 40 percent of homes in the county have radon levels above EPA guidelines. Cancer-dot-gov says radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America.
