A man who Eau Claire Police say drunkenly brought a gun to North High School back in September will spend 10 days in jail for his crime.
A judge yesterday sentenced 30-year-old Benjamin Weinberger to a week-and-a-half in jail and 80 hours of community service. Police say he approached a group of teens in the high school’s parking lot with a gun.
Officers say Weinberger admitted that he’d had about 10 drinks that day. There’s no word on why Weinberger had the gun or what he planned to do with it.
