Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez says he won’t schedule the Badgers to play teams from California.
A new law signed into effect today will allow California’s college athletes to make money several ways including endorsements. In a radio interview today Alvarez said athletes who get paid aren’t amateurs. California’s governor believes other states will introduce similar legislation. The new law takes effect in 2023.
