Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is giving Republican lawmakers a couple of weeks to come-up with new gun control proposals, then he says he’ll order lawmakers back to the Capitol.
The governor said he’s considering a special session to deal with guns. Evers has said for weeks that he wants a red flag law and stricter background checks in the state. The Republicans who control the legislature both say new laws won’t stop Wisconsin’s problems with gun violence and will only create new hurdles for law abiding gun owners.
