Love may be patient, but two Wisconsin lawmakers say state law should stop forcing people to wait to get remarried.
State Rep. Cindi Duchow and state Senator Alberta Darling are pushing a plan that would end Wisconsin’s six-month moratorium on marriage after a divorce. The two say it’s none of the state’s business if someone wants to get remarried as soon as their divorce is final. Dochow and Darling say the ban on re-marriage hurts families and children.
