Green groups in Wisconsin are happy that the state’s largest power company is dropping a proposed fee on people who have solar panels on their homes.
Renew Wisconsin and the Sierra Club both say it’s good news that We Energies yesterday agreed to drop the 180 dollar-a-year solar fee from it’s rate increase. The groups said it was a barrier to green energy. We Energies is looking to raise rates on customers six-percent over the next two years to help pay for what’s being called a utility-scale project.
