LACROSSE TAPS INTO CURBSIDE ALCOHOL PICK UP

Shoppers in La Crosse are a step closer to being able to pick-up beer and wine with their groceries at the curb, but there will be some strings.

La Crosse’s Judiciary and Administration Committee last night approved the ordinance to allow for curbside alcohol pick-up.  The rules require shoppers to order their drinks four hours in advance, and La Crosse says stores can’t offer curbside delivery after 6 p.m.  So people who order groceries after 2 p.m. will have to wait to get their beer or wine till the next day.  The full city council is expected to vote on the rules next week.
