Petty Officer 2nd Class Shayne Sullivan, a native of Altoona, Wisconsin, wanted to join the Navy to carry on a proud family tradition of serving others.
Now, eight years later and half a world away, Sullivan serves aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam, patrolling one of the world’s busiest maritime regions as part of the leading-edge of U.S. 7th Fleet.
