A Madison man is in custody after reports say he ran over a woman while driving drunk in Eau Claire.
A criminal complaint claims a woman was riding her bike near Starr Avenue and Piedmont Road Sunday night when Jack Swenson hit her and drove off. Police eventually found Swenson and pulled him over and they say he had a blood-alcohol level over twice the legal limit. Police say Swenson also hit mailboxes, a car, a fence, and a fire hydrant. He’s facing up to ten months in prison.
