INVESTIGATION SHOWS WI SCHOOL THREATS NOT CREDIBLE

Menomonie Police are telling parents not to worry about rumors of a school threat.  The principal at Menomonie Middle School found a note last week that talked about a school shooting.  Police say they investigated, but didn’t find the threat credible.  Officers say the school is handling the discipline in the case.

In other areas of our state, three central Wisconsin students could soon be facing charges after police say they threatened their school in Poynette.  Officers got a tip about the threat yesterday, and quickly found the three students.  Poynette school leaders say the three were arrested because the school takes all threats seriously.  There are no details to the threat, but police say there’s no danger to the school or community.  All three are under the age of 18, so there are no details about who they are.
