DNR INVESTIGATING ANIMAL POISONING

DNR INVESTIGATING ANIMAL POISONING

The Department of Natural Resources is asking for help as they investigate what appears to be the poisoning of several dogs and wildlife.

The DNR today says since December dogs, coyotes, raccoons, a wolf and weasels have all been found dead of possible poisoning in the northern Wisconsin counties of Bayfield, Marinette and Florence.  Officials say there’s a possibility poisoning could be happening in other counties and anyone with information is asked to contact the DNR.

The animals die in less than 30 minutes after ingesting some kind of substance and lab tests are underway to determine cause of death.
