“Fake it ’till you make it” doesn’t translate to money. Police in Eau Claire and Menomonie ware warning local businesses about a new round of fake 100 dollar bills.
Officers say they’ve seen an uptick in counterfeit cash over the past few weeks. Police say the feel of the money is the biggest tip-off, though the ink and printing on the fake bills is also a little off.
