A group of students at New Auburn Middle school are competing in a state-wide wind turbine building contest this weekend.
If you were showing off your kid or relative on the pages of The Leader-Telegram, then you likely saw that Aliya North and Evelyn Cody are putting the finishing touches on a homemade turbine to enter into the Wisconsin Kid Wind Challenge in Madison on Saturday. The two groups with the best turbines will move on to compete in the national competition in Houston in May. The group will also compete in the Wisconsin FFA Agriscience Fair in June.
