State Street
Hill will see some new improvements in the near future. The Eau Claire
City Council approved a two-and-a-half million dollar project yesterday to
replace multiple water mains and sewer lines as well as changing several
intersections to roundabouts. Officials say the changes will create
better traffic flow. Most of the construction is expected to start mid-summer
and last roughly six months.
A plan to improve parts of Forest Street are in the
works. The Eau Claire City Council approved the project yesterday to
widen the roadway and sidewalks from Huyssen Street to Madison Street along
Forest Street. The work will also include replacing water mains and sewer
lines along the path.
