Two Eau Claire County sheriff’s deputies are being justified in using force in a shooting that followed a high speed chase.
James Haworth and Dan Eaton shot Reese Diesterhaft in the Town of Brunswick last August but the county district attorney ruled the shooting was justified. A criminal complaint says Diesterhaft purposefully drove up to police because he wanted to get shot during the chase. He survived the shooting.
