An Eau Claire landlord is facing over 175-thousand dollars in fines for violating housing codes.
Reports show Karen Cigan owns Cigan Properties on State Street, Broadway Street, and Eldorado Boulevard and each of them has reported poor living conditions including broken heaters and water leaks.
City inspection records show Cigan was previously at the center of an over one-million-dollar lawsuit over housing code violations and has also paid 25-thousand dollars in fines for previous violations.
