Eau Claire officials are buying land near Roosevelt Elementary School, but its use is up for debate. The City Council approved a resolution yesterday to purchase three plots south of Folsom Street for 285-thousand dollars. The original intention was to build a park, but the council is now saying they will work with the neighborhood to find the right use for the wooded area. Other options brought up include a skating rink or a soccer field with lights.
