21 YEAR OLD MAN SUSPECT IN CLOSS MURDERS AND KIDNAPPING CASE

Wisconsin police say 21-year-old Jake Patterson is the main suspect of interest in the kidnapping case of 13-year-old Jayme Closs.  Officials say Patterson had targeted Closs, killing both of her parents before abducting her back in October.

The fluid investigation into Patterson has not shown any indication that the two had any former contact with each other.  Patterson is a resident of the remote, northern Wisconsin area of Gordon, but is said to have ties to Barron County.  At this time, there is no estimate on how long he planned this for or if he had any known mental health issues.  Patterson is unemployed and had no criminal history.

Search warrants are being served in Gordon right now as police search for more information into the case.  They are looking to determine how Jayme was held against her will by searching the home for clues, and they are hoping to discover what Jayme went through during her 88 days of captivity.
