The Chippewa Falls boys hockey team is supporting the community following a hit-and-run in Lake Hallie that killed three Girl Scouts and a troop mother. All Girl Scouts wearing their uniforms and their parents were allowed into last night’s game for free.
Hockey parents sold green ribbons to help raise money for the Girl Scouts. A special ceremony was held at the end of the first period of the varsity game, where all Girl Scouts were invited onto the ice. Buckets were passed during the first intermission for donations and the crowd raised more than two thousand dollars in one minute.
