WOMAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN DEADLY CRASH

An Eau Claire woman charged in a deadly Chippewa County crash is pleading not guilty in court.  Cara Stevens appeared in court yesterday after being charged in August.

Stevens is charged with four counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, and four counts of reckless driving-causing great bodily harm.  The crash happened in Cornell in May 2017, when Steven says she didn’t see stop signs before colliding with a truck.
