CFPD TO DISCUSS MORE MONEY FOR STAFFING

The Chippewa Falls Police Department is considering upping its budget and adding another police officer.  The Leader-Telegram reports the city finance committee met yesterday to discuss the budget, which would be increased by about 420-thousand dollars.

The city finance manager says about 92-thousand of that would go to adding the new officer while the rest would go to increasing staff wages.  A public hearing on the increased budget is scheduled for December 4th.
