U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin is on the campaign trail in Eau Claire.  The Democratic incumbent was at UW-Eau Claire to meet with students yesterday as part of her RV tour across the state.  Most polls put Baldwin well ahead of Republican rival Leah Vukmir.

Governor Walker is refusing to say whether or not he backs President Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship for some U.S. born babies, while Tony Evers says he opposes it.  Republican incumbent Walker had made immigration a focus of his re-election campaign, but would not commit to a position on Trump’s proposal, calling it a federal issue he had no authority over.  Democratic opponent Evers was quick to denounce the idea.
