Today is the 17th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. The names of the nearly three-thousand people who died in the attacks in the World Trade Center in New York were read aloud at the 9-11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan.
Several thousand family members and friends who lost loved ones gathered near where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center once stood. President Trump and First Lady Melania visited the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The memorial was a tribute to those who perished when passengers helped stop a hijacked airliner that was thought to be aimed at Washington, DC.
