The suspect shot in an officer involved shooting after a multi-county chase is pleading not guilty. 23-year-old Reese Diesterhaft appeared in court yesterday afternoon where he pleaded not guilty to five counts, including having a dangerous weapon during a burglary, eluding officers during a chase, and criminal damage to property.
The criminal complaint says he was hoping to get shot by police and was on the run from South Dakota, where he’d been sentenced to ten years in prison for burglary.
