BACK TO WORK IN SUN PRAIRIE

Back to it! A major company is resuming excavation work in Sun Prairie for the first time since a deadly natural gas explosion. City officials are confident safety measures will prevent any further explosions. The explosion earlier this month killed 34-year-old Sun Prairie Fire Captain Cory Barr, severely injured firefighter Ryan Welch, and destroyed nearly half a dozen buildings and damaged others. An investigation is ongoing into potential criminal negligence.

…And the community continues to really together as Sun Prairie’s first home football game is set to be a special one to honor First Responders Night. At the August 24th home game, Sun Prairie plans to wear special “Sun Prairie Strong” uniforms to honor those who responded to that explosion downtown.
