Re-sentencing is being denied for a former science teacher at Chippewa Falls Middle School who confessed to having sexual contact with a student. Joel Jahnke appeared in court yesterday through video conferencing for a motion hearing, in which his lawyer claimed the judge had considered inaccurate information at sentencing back in 2017.
Jahnke had been ordered to serve six years in prison and six years of extended supervision. Court records show he admitted to touching the girl inappropriately and sending her nude photos and videos.
