A museum in Madison is showcasing a nuclear sub under construction that will bear the name USS Wisconsin. A piece of the Columbia class submarine went on permanent display yesterday in the Wisconsin Veterans Museum on Capitol Square in Madison. The intercontinental ballistic missile carrying nuclear powered submarine is expected to be ready for service sometime in 2030.

Public defenders for Darrell Brooks Junior motioned to have the case dismissed on the grounds of insanity, but today the judge in the case denied the motion. Police say the suspect in Wednesday night’s quadruple shooting lit one of the fires. The other fire led police to find the body of a 36-year-old woman in the burned-out remains of a home. Milwaukee Police also say three men, ages 34, 45 and 47 were killed in shootings between late Wednesday and late last night.
