Due to the warmer temperatures and for the safety reasons, The city of Eau Claire is letting all patrons know that all outdoor skating rinks are now closed for the remainder of the season. Pinehurst Park will remain open through February 26 (weather dependent) for sledding, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and gear share. In addition, Cross Country Ski Trails will not be groomed for the remainder of the winter season.

Yesterday, the Humane Society said they got 15 dogs from a shelter in Alabama. The animals are coming to Madison because there’s simply not enough room at the shelters where they are from.
