The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the first deadline is February 20th when ice shanties that are on Iowa boundary waters must be removed. A full list of deadlines is available on the Department of Natural Resources’ website. The DNR says portable ice shanties are still allowed but they must be removed when not in use.

La Crosse Police say they found 28-year-old Jerel Jenkins with a number of guns, ammunition, and a bulletproof vest when they arrested him yesterday. Jenkins was wanted on federal firearms charges. The Marshals say police in La Crosse, Onalaska, La Crescent, Minnesota, and as far as Eau Claire helped in the investigation to find and arrest Jenkins.
