The Wisconsin Assembly is being forced to pay attorney fees for a liberal watchdog group suing over the Michael Gableman investigation. Today a Dane County judge ruled the Assembly will pay American Oversight at least 98-thousand dollars using tax payer dollars. American Oversight has sued Gableman, claiming he broke Wisconsin open records laws while investigating the 2020 election.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission yesterday said it’s mailed about 315 thousand absentee ballots to voters across the state, and over 140 thousand of them have come back. In-person absentee voting opened on Tuesday as well. But two candidate drop-outs this week, Democrats Tom Nelson and Alex Lasry, mean some voters may have voted for candidates who are no longer in the race.
