It wasn’t all cream puffs and rides at the Wisconsin State Fair last weekend. Police responded to at least 10 fights on Saturday alone. No one is saying anything about arrests or injuries. Sheriff Jeff Skatrud yesterday said he is sending the women who used to be housed at his jail to the jail in Iowa County, or sending them home on electronic monitoring. The sheriff says it could be a year or more before he can hire and train enough guards to be able to once again keep women in his jail.
