Eastbound Interstate 94 is fully closed at mile marker 48 in Dunn County due to a two-vehicle commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crash that occurred earlier today. According to reports from the scene, a CMV traveling slowly on the shoulder was struck from behind by another CMV. One of the vehicles subsequently caught fire. La Crosse Police are searching for a young woman who was reported missing on Sunday. Twenty-two-year-old Eliotte Heinz was last seen walking along Front Street South just before 3:30 a.m. yesterday. She is described as a white female standing five-feet-four and weighing 120 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police. The Eau Claire Express is looking back on a successful Sunday at Carson Park.  The team won both parts of a double-header over La Crosse.  Six to nothing was the final in game one and two to nothing was the final in game two.  Eau Claire hosts La Crosse again tonight.

Updated information: 7.22.2025The driver of the car that died as a result of the crash was identified as Tonya Todd. On July 19, 2025 approximately 9:27 PM, the Dunn County Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a head-on crash on STH 79 north of 790th Ave in the Town of Sherman. The caller reported  that one of the vehicles had flames visible. A second caller advised that the driver of the passenger car  was possibly deceased.   The Dunn County

New Information: 7.22.2025 Upon further investigation, speed was a contributing factor to the crash.The driver who was died as a result of the crash has been identified as Jake Wagner. On July 19, 2025 approximately 9:25 PM, the Dunn County Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle accident on 960th St south of 1010th St in the Town of Springbrook. UPDATE: 7.23.2025 The deceased individual from this crash is identified as 78 year old Dale Soltwisch, of Fall Creek.  Soltwisch was the lone occupant of the vehicle he was operating and was traveling eastbound on HWY 12. The driver of the second vehicle involved was 38 year old James Jones, of Eau Claire.  Jones had turned west onto HWY 12 from Green Meadow Rd and turned into the oncoming lane, striking Soltwisch’s truck head on.  Jones was arrested for Knowingly

A fifth tornado is confirmed by the National Weather Service. The EF0 tornado traveled on I-90 south of Mauston for a minute with minimal damages reported. It happened during Wednesday’s storm through Juneau County. The agency is also tracking a funnel cloud sighting yesterday near Manitowoc. Officials say reports of property and tree damages suggest the funnel may have touched ground — making it a tornado. It happened at Stone Road, near HWY 10 and I-43.
