Four counties and four communities in Wisconsin have been designated as Historically Underutilized Business Zones, or HUBZones. Designation gives businesses in selected zones more opportunities for growth and job creation. Dunn, Waushara Florence, and Sawyer counties, along with areas near Monroe, Superior, Platteville, and Wisconsin Rapids, recently became HUBZones.
Read MoreMore than 34-hundred property assessments are completed in Milwaukee County as of today. The area faced historic flooding after 14 inches of rain fell earlier this month. The Office of Emergency Management says more than 300 volunteers have been working on the assessments on residential homes. FEMA could arrive in Milwaukee as early as Thursday for a preliminary damage assessment. Residents with damage can report it to 211 to be matched with proper emergency services.

Read MoreThe search for a suspect being sought since Friday has ended. Police in Vernon County responded to a location that day with reports of a man who was wanted on an arrest warrant. Police say that Nathan Gossman and another suspect fled the scene, leading officers in a high-speed chase. The other individual was later arrested. Gossman has since been arrested in his native Minnesota.

The Sheriff’s Office says the sergeant was part of a police chase led with a 17-year-old who took his mother’s car without permission.
