Marshfield Fire and Rescue initially responded with 11 personnel to a report of a house fire at 708 N Maple Ave., with the fire located in the basement. Upon arrival heavy black smoke was showing from all sides of the house. Firefighters made entry and located the fire in the basement, which they quickly extinguished.
