On Sunday, November 19th, at approximately 6:42 PM, A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on STH 35 at Main Avenue in Lewis. The Trooper observed that the driver, 59 year old Timothy H Ainley, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Ainley was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. He was subsequently arrested and charged with operating

The sheriff in Green County says there is no doubt that an armed robbery suspect killed himself last week. The sheriff’s office on Friday said body cam footage shows the 49-year-old Janesville man shoot himself after police cornered him. The man was wanted for an armed robbery at the Dollar General in the Village of Orfordville early Tuesday afternoon. The sheriff says that footage shows the suspect briefly point a gun at officers, before turning the gun on himself.

Flag across Wisconsin will fly lower tomorrow to remember the two-year anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack. Governor Evers issued the order Friday. Tomorrow marks two years since Darrell Brooks sped through the parade, killing six people and injuring 60 others. The governor said the attack brought together the people of Waukesha, the people of Wisconsin, and people all across the country. There will also be remembrances in Waukesha as well.

Wisconsin’s AI Task Force will be looking at AI equity today. Governor Evers’ task force is set to meet again today. The governor wants the task force to look at how best to use AI for the state’s workforce, that includes a focus on equity and economic opportunity. The governor’s AI Task Force is slightly different from the task force from Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. That task force is also looking at the dangers of AI in Wisconsin.

The Packers did just enough to get past the Los Angeles Chargers. Green Bay overcame a series of penalties, dropped passes, and missed kicks to come away with a 23-20 win over the Charges yesterday. Jordan Love threw for over 300 yards for the first time in his career. The win improves Green Bay to 4-6 on the season. The Packers next take on the Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

It likely won’t be the Rose Bowl, but the Badgers are likely headed to a bowl game this season. Wisconsin’s overtime win against Nebraska Saturday night made the Badgers bowl eligible. This is the 22nd straight season where the Badgers are eligible to play in a bowl game. Wisconsin has one more regular season game after this, next Saturday against Minnesota.

Giannis and his family spent part of their weekend handing-out diapers. Giannis and his fiancé have volunteered at the Milwaukee Diaper Mission for years, and yesterday’s appearance was just their latest. The Diaper Mission’s Meagan Johnson says they helped 250 families with food, and another 850 kids with diapers.

Flags on public buildings across Wisconsin will fly at half-staff Tuesday, in memory of the people who were killed in the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack two years ago. A man drove an SUV through the parade on November 21st, 2021, killing six people and injuring 62 others. He’s serving six consecutive life sentences.
