Police Search for Tips in Murder of Delivery Man

One of Milwaukee’s murder this week appears to be a robbery gone wrong. Police say 33-year-old Antoine Gee Jr was killed Wednesday night while delivering pizzas. He took an order to a house near Sherman and Congress about 10:30 Wednesday night. That’s when police say someone tried to rob him, then shot him dead. Milwaukee Police aren’t saying anything about suspects in the case, but are asking anyone who may know anything to please come forward.

Swing and a Miss for Brewer’s Autograph Session

It’s going to be too wintry for the Brewers’ winter warm-up this weekend. The Brewers yesterday pulled the plug on tomorrow’s autograph session with the players. The Brewers’ Rick Schlesinger says they made the decision after realizing just how difficult it would be to fly players into Milwaukee. Sunday’s kids’ clinic is still on, but it will feature former Brewers’ players and staffers, not the current stars.

Stabbing Suspect Headed to Trial

An Eau Claire County man is headed to trial at the end of the month to determine if he was mentally ill at the time of a 2021 stabbing and standoff. Adam Langiewicz of Boyd pleaded no contest on Wednesday to a charge of reckless injury against an elder victim. WI Healthcare Enrollment Breaks Record

This year’s individual healthcare marketplace enrollment has broken the Wisconsin state record. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers says more than 254-thousand people are signed up for Medicare or Medicaid as of December 23 in the state. That’s eleven-thousand more people enrolled in state insurance than when the record was last broken in 2017, and 33 thousand more than last year. WI Taskforces to Focus on Indigenous Communities

Two Wisconsin task forces have joined together to combat human trafficking in the state’s Indigenous communities. The Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives task forces will be working together on the efforts. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says they’ll be working to identify victims of labor exploitation and prosecute offenders. He says they’ll also be analyzing barriers that keep victims from getting help. The Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force will be funded for three years.

EC Man Charged With Drug Possession, Distribution

An Eau Claire man is facing charges for drugs and distribution. The following was released by Sheriff Hakes in Chippewa County. Joshua Reedy, 30, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is charged with distributing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The indictment alleges that Reedy distributed methamphetamine on September 28, 2023 and October 2, 2023. A western Wisconsin police chief is facing an OWI charge after wrecking a city car last week. The State Patrol is handling the investigation into Eleva Police Chief Patrick McKillip.
