The Girl Scouts owned the camp for years, but sold it off last year because of the costs. A group of former Girl Scouts in the Chippewa Valley came together to buy the camp, fix-it-up, and reopen it. The group says the idea is to keep the camp open for Girl Scouts, and other youth groups going forward.
